Fire Pumps

Fire Pump Testing & Service

Churn and flow testing, documentation, and service for fire pumps in commercial buildings across Central Florida.

A fire pump exists to make up the difference between the water supply a building has and the pressure its sprinkler system needs. Buildings that depend on one — high-bay warehouses, mid-rise and high-rise properties, sites with weak municipal pressure — have no margin if the pump doesn't start or doesn't make its curve.

Testing covers more than pressing a start button. A no-flow (churn) test confirms the pump starts and runs; an annual flow test measures performance at rated and peak flow and compares it against the original acceptance curve. Drift from that curve is the early warning that something — impeller, driver, suction, or controller — needs attention.

Flow testing an occupied property takes planning: water has to go somewhere, the alarm and monitoring company has to be notified, and the system has to be restored to automatic when the test ends. We handle that coordination and record the readings so the results are usable in your file and comparable year over year.
